From Anacapri on the cable car you can get to the island's highest mountain-Monte Solari, boasting magnificent views of the island and the Bay of Naples. Worth a visit are the unique monument of medieval architecture-the Church of Santa Sofia and Villa San Michele. Out of town very close to the lighthouse Faro: its light travels a distance of 45 km.
